Aurebesh Keys support

Get the keyboard set up, solve common iOS issues, or contact the publisher.

Installation

  1. Open Settings → General → Keyboard → Keyboards → Add New Keyboard.
  2. Select Aurebesh Keys.
  3. Open any ordinary text field, hold the system globe control, and choose Aurebesh Keys.

Test the keyboard

Open the Aurebesh Keys app and use the Try it field. The receiving app always gets ordinary searchable Latin letters, digits and punctuation; the alternate glyphs are visual keycaps only.

Haptic feedback

  1. In Settings → General → Keyboard → Keyboards → Aurebesh Keys, enable Allow Full Access only if haptics are wanted.
  2. In Settings → Sounds & Haptics → Keyboard Feedback, turn on Haptic.
  3. Open the Aurebesh Keys app, show the custom keyboard once in the Try it field, then adjust Haptic strength.

iOS displays its standard Full Access warning for every third-party keyboard. Aurebesh Keys does not use Full Access to transmit keyboard input and contains no network client, analytics, advertising or tracking.

Troubleshooting

Why did iOS switch back to the Apple keyboard?

iOS does not allow third-party keyboards in some secure password fields, phone-pad fields, or apps that explicitly prohibit custom keyboards. This is controlled by iOS or the receiving app.

The keyboard is not in the globe menu.

Return to Settings → General → Keyboard → Keyboards and confirm Aurebesh Keys is listed. If necessary, remove it, add it again, then restart the receiving app.

Haptics do not work.

Confirm both Allow Full Access for Aurebesh Keys and the system Keyboard Feedback → Haptic setting are enabled. Then open the setup app, show the keyboard in Try it, and adjust the strength slider.

Does it type special-font text?

No. It inserts ordinary Latin text so messages remain searchable, copyable and readable on other devices.

Does swipe typing send my gesture to a server?

No. Swipe recognition and ranking run entirely on the device.

How do I clear learned swipe choices?

Open the setup app and choose Reset learned swipe choices. The keyboard clears its local counters the next time it opens.
